The Institute of Food Science and Technology Sri Lanka (IFSTSL) enters its 10th year in 2021 fulfilling its commitments to bring together the academics and scientists to work closely with the food industry targeting strengthening the Sri Lankan economy and guiding in meeting global standards in food processing. Over the years, the IFSTSL has conducted training seminars and become a partner in ProFood exhibition annually addressing technical and regulatory needs of the Industry. IFSTSL has played as a strong resource for reorienting the human capacity related to the industry, and emerging young graduates to line up with global thinking on food safety and meeting technological challenges. IFSTSL looks forward to strengthening the current activities, explore linkages with the international bodies committed to Food Science and Technology and getting State recognition with the new in the process line to be presented to the national legislature.
